Things To Do

Snorkeling: Dry Tortugas National Park boasts some of the best snorkeling in North America. Whether you are a beginner or expert, you can enjoy a myriad of colorful tropical fish and living coral. Snorkeling is in only 4 to 7 feet of water, straight off a brilliant white sand beach.

We can supply complimentary snorkel equipment, if you have your own you are welcome to bring it (sorry, no dive tanks). Make sure you bring along your bathing suit and towel.

Bird Watching: Bird watching is excellent with up to 200 varieties spotted annually. Bird activity is greatest March through September; migratory birds peak April and May. During this period 100,000 Noddy and Sooty Terns nest on nearby Bush Key. It is also common to spot Frigates, Boobies and White tailed Tropic Birds. During the spring migration, we can supply up to date birding lists. Bring along your binoculars and scopes.
